Quiz Team Home Page
Quiz team is a very popular activity at PCHS, with students of all grade levels participating in lunchtime and weekend practices, and several competitions throughout the year.  We have for many years hosted our own High School and Jr. High Tournaments, both of which are well-attended and respected for their high level of production.
Mrs. Stephanie Frank, assisted by Mr. Weaver, has been the sponsor of Quiz Team for many years and challenges our students to broaden their base of knowledge (one dare not say "trivia"!)  Our teams have been very successful, winning both local and State championships several times over the years.
Quiz team is played in a question-answer format with teams that have 5 players each.  Ten toss-up questions are asked of each team, then a 2-minute worksheet round occurs, in which the teams try to answer as many of 20 questions as they can.  The answers to these 20 questions begin with the same letter.  Fifteen more toss-ups are asked, and then final scores are tallied, with teams receiving 10 for each correct answer in the round.  This combination of speed and knowledge makes for an exciting game, and gives students the feeling of participating in a very competitive setting.
