Next Journal/Personal Development Due Date ~   Remember:  Journals may be about activities that occurred in class, or interesting things about History that you want to discuss.  They may also be about personal concerns, if you so choose.  (All Journals are considered confidential between just you and me.)  PDE's are essays on a particular topic that I will assign during the Quarter.
The final due date for Journals (4) is on May 16th for Seniors and May 23rd for Sophomores and Juniors.  PDE's (1 for Juniors and Seniors, 2 for Sophomores) will be due the same day.  The final topic for all groups is to reflect on your first PDE of the year - how well did you follow your plan to make this your best school year ever?
I-Search Projects ~   Miniprojects are due each 9-weeks.  They are short presentations to your class on a person, place, or occurrence in History that you find interesting.  Generally, they should refer to information we are covering at the time, but may also address major issues that need to be discussed.  Sophomore mini-projects for this 9-weeks will be based on the WOWI.  Juniors will have miniprojects as usual, and Seniors as assigned.  May 15th will be the absolutely last day for presentations.
World Cultures ~ Medieval Europe develops, then explodes into Renaissance.  (Looks like enough for two more tests before year's end.)
20th Century History ~ Now that the Fifties are almost over, we'll look at the raucous 60's and the implications they hold for our daily lives.
Economics & Civics (Senior Social Studies)  ~  Once we learn how to graph Supply and Demand, we'll find out how well you can analyze those curves.
Pink Floyd Fine Arts ClassA wonderful on-line course that you can work on at any time.  Course Mainpage
Sports Psychology ~   Another on-line course that is self-paced.  Begin with the worksheet page, and proceed to answer the questions you choose from it.  If you are working on a Fall Sport, you need to begin the process before you start practices.    e-mail me or meet at school so we can discuss what you've done and where you're going.  Course Mainpage.
Creative Writing ~ Mrs. Wildt and I have conspired to help students learn to write more creatively!  Course Mainpage.
Model United Nations ~ None this year.
Webpage Development ~ Anyone wishing to help me keep the site fresh and useful is welcome to join in.  No experience is required.  Great Thanks are already due to Zach Evans and Ricardo Cerqueda, who are adding new material daily.
